Learning outcomes: Students taking ownership knowledge of the theoretical concepts of human capital, its determinants and methods of its development and use.

Competences: Students will acquire skills of identifying the specific components of human capital, master the methods of its measurement, analysis and management at the macro- and micro-.

Prerequisites: Base macroeconomics and social policy

Course content: The subject covers the following problems: the concept of human capital, the selected aspects of human capital formation, flexibility of human capital, methods of measuring human capital, investment in human capital, information society, innovation, programs supporting the development of human capital.

Assessment methods: Allocation exercises and written exam after third semesters - minimal knowledge 55%
