Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes After completing the course a student is able to: Knowledge a) identifies and describes the organs of domestic mammals b) recognizes the interspecific anatomical differences c) understands the morphological diversity of domestic animals d) understands the morphological relationships of within the system of organs e) knows the relationships between the systems f) knows both Latin and English anatomical terminology g) understands the role of particular structures and organs for the clinical practice h) knows the general functional significance of particular structures and organs Practical skills a) Students use the basic methods applied in animal anatomy. b) Students describe the animal anatomy and discuss the species differences. c) Students use both Latin and English anatomical terminology. d) Students perform necessary lifelong learning. e) Students discuss the role of knowledge on animal anatomy in veterinary medicine.

Competences: a) Ability to work within a working groups b) Student understands the necessity of lifelong learning

Prerequisites: Biology, histology, embryology, physiology, biochemistry

Course content: Ostheology, myology, artrology, angiology, neurobiology, widespread splanchnology, central and peripherial neural systeme, skin and its derivatives, bird anatomy, etc. The macroscopic build of animal organism in prenatal and postnatal period.

Assessment methods: Obligatory passing grades of laboratory course (100%), oral, test and practical exam after the second semester.

Comment: This subject lasts 2 semesters (Animal Anatomy I and Animal Anatomy II) .
