Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - Student identifies and describes the organs of domestic mammals -recognizes the interspecific anatomical differences -understands the morphological diversity of domestic animals -understands the morphological relationships of within the system of organs -knows the relationships between the systems -knows both Latin and English anatomical terminology -understands the role of particular structures and organs for the clinical practice -knows the general functional significance of particular structures and organs Practical skills: -Students use the basic methods applied in animal anatomy. -Students describe the animal anatomy and discuss the species differences. -Students use both Latin and English anatomical terminology. -Students perform necessary lifelong learning. -Students discuss the role of knowledge on animal anatomy in veterinary medicine.

Competences: -Ability to work within a working groups -acquires skills to make quick decisions in contact with live animal. -understands the importance of individual structures and organs in clinical practice. -understands the necessity of lifelong learning

Prerequisites: Biology, histology, embryology, physiology, biochemistry

Course content: Teaching of the normal gross morphology of domestic animals. Providing the Latin and English anatomical terminology. Comparative morphological analysis. Getting the ability of description and specific differentiation of organs. Background for comparative anatomy, topographic anatomy, clinical anatomy, histology, physiology, clinical diagnostic, surgical disciplines, patomorphology, animal breeding and husbandry and meat hygiene.

Assessment methods: Obligatory passing grades of laboratory course (100%), oral, test and practical exam after the second semester.
