Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - Student identifies a wide range of species of parasites and can estimate the associated risks to animals and humans, define concepts and terms in the field of parasitology, they know a wide range of development cycles of parasites and zoological systematics and can use it well -describes the morphology of the parasites, clinical signs and lesions of parasitic diseases in different species of animals (cows, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, exotic animals, laboratory animals, poultry, reptiles, amphibians and fish) -proposes and plan primary and specialized diagnostic tests to demonstrate the parasites and correctly use infected animals therapy Practical skills: -plans and implement with good effect antiparasitic prevention rules in herds -evaluates and determines the risk of animals parasites inhabiting the ecosystem, and identify possible transmission to humans -independently performs basic and specialized (enzymatic) diagnostic tests in the field of animal parasitoses

Competences: Set out the principles of cooperation, give instructions to livestock farmers, be an expert in the fight against parasitic diseases

Prerequisites: Biology, Internal Clinical Diagnostics, Pathophysiology and Pathology, Pharmacology.

Course content: The characteristic parasites in domestic and wild animals, birds, reptilian and amphibian their morphology, biology, live cycle and epizootical and epidemiological role. Interaction beetwen hosts and parasites, various laboratory methods using to diagnostic parasitologic diseases, antyparasitological drugs, profilactic methods of parasites infection.
