Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 – knows theoretical concepts and models of human motor skills [KB2_W01, KB2_W04, KB2_W05, KB2_W01_BC, KB2_W06_BC]; W2 – characterizes phylogenetic and ontogenetic development of mobility and motor skills, and selected morphological, anatomical and physiological traits related to movement and motor skills [KB2_W01, KB2_W04]; W3 – knows and shows tests appropriate for the age and sex to evaluate the various motor skills [KB2_W04, KB2_W01_BC, KB2_W06_BC]. Skills: Student: U1 – is able to perform age-appropriate fitness tests and exercise capacity and perform the corresponding measurements for monitoring the effects of training [KB2_U01, KB2_U02, KB2_U01_BC]; U2 – is able to identify morphological and physiological predisposition to engage in selected sport [KB2_U07, KB2_U04_BC].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 – understands and appreciates the importance of physical activity for health at every stage of its ontogeny, and actively promotes physical culture [KB2_K04, KB2_K08].

Course content: Sciences of human movements – anthropomotorics, kinesiology, kinanthropology, physiology of sport, physical activity science, kinesic, reflexomotorics, somatomotorics – a survey of the history, aims, methods and foundations (theories and models). Conditionings and manifestations of motorics. Systems of control and coordination capacities. Phylogeny and ontogeny of motorics and motion especially in terms of predispositions. Anthropology of sport. Genetic conditionings and quantitative traits and models. Analysis of phenotypic variance. Physical and developmental conditionings of physical fitness. The range of subject matter of assessment of motoric properties in humans. Measurements and testing. How to construct and use tests of physical fitness – a survey and critical reflection on testing. Advantages and disadvantages of reference points and centile charts. Converting raw data into T scale. Consequences of reduced physical activity, hypokinesion or stillness and how to manage.

Assessment methods: Assessment exercise: systematic, current monitoring of progress in learning and assessment of activity. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. Completion of exercises based on the average ratings. Completion of the course: students with credited exercises have to pass an additional written test (40-50 open questions, partly of a problematic). Final rating is the average of the rate of exercises and this test.
