Learning outcomes: Knowledge: After completing the course students will know the basic biochemical rules, the metabolism of cell, the outfit of laboratory, the methodology of conduct of experiments. Skills: Passing the course permits working in laboratories because student understand the biochemical process and he is able to use methods get to know to carry out an experiment. After finishing exercises the student is able also correctly to interpret results of experience.

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): After completing the course students will cooperate in teams. During exercises they carry about laboratory equipment and know safety and hygene of work rules.

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: inorganic and organic chemistry

Course content: Course contents: The overall purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical background biochemistry: the structure and function of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and carbohydrates. Cell metabolism. Methodology conduct of experiments.
