Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Students have general knowledge of IT, are able to define the concepts of ICT, can show and recognize services in information networks, know how to use a spreadsheet, edit texts, use raster and vector graphics tools, know the basics of databases, give examples of specialized software in their field of study. Skills: Students creatively use Internet information sources and services in computer networks, use quasi cloud computing, know how to format the documents using styles, design and perform calculations and basic analysis of data using a spreadsheet formulas, filters, and the graphics module. Students prepare screen presentations showing the results of their work with web applications, are able to analyze and solve problems and justify the choice of tools, under supervision of the instructor.

Competences: Social competences: Students can work in teams using the available network applications, can recognizes the importance of professional and ethical responsibility for the use and information processing.

Course content: Course contents: web applications, spreadsheets, word processing, raster graphics tools, vector graphics tools, basic databases, copyright in the use and processing site.

Assessment methods: Assessment comprises: participation in the training exercises, participation in discussion forums, tests (supervised tasks), evaluation of the project (team work), individual tasks.

Comment: Comments: The subject is taught as a blended learning course on the Moodle platform. The course includes four modules divided into thematic blocks: • Module 1: Elements of Web 2.0, participatory culture. Copyright: Internet Licenses • Module 2: Fundamentals of IT, user interface, word processing, open source software. • Module 3: Word editing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations. • Module 4: Computer graphics: vector and raster, 2D and 3D. Modules include educational content, grouped in thematic blocks in the form of presentations (84) and training exercise (e.g. quizzes for self-study). The students actively participate in evaluated thematic forums, perform individual tasks and participate in teamwork to create a website Specific training topics (15 x 2 hrs.) 1. Fundamentals of IT, introduction to team work, division into working groups, the choice of topics for a semester project: Thematic website. 2. Copyright in the Internet. 3.
