Learning outcomes: Knowledge: -Student describes and defines the causes and clinical manifestations of selected diseases of alimentary tract diseases in horses, dogs and cats -describes the diagnosis (including differential diagnosis), the investigation and treatment of alimentary tract disease in horses, dogs and cats -correctly interprets the results of laboratory tests used in the diagnosis of alimentary tract disease Practical skills: -based on clinical data to diagnose and, in the case of doubt, the further course of the evaluation, performs basic endoscopic examination of the alimentary tract of horses, dogs and cats and liver biopsy in dogs and cats -selects and applies appropriate treatment and the treatment by the unit for alimentary tract

Competences: -Student acts in accordance with ethical -puts the good of the patient in the first place

Prerequisites: Animal Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy, Pathomorphology, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Parasitology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Immunology, Clinical and Laboratory Diagnostics, General Surgery and Anaesthesiology, Diagnostic Imaging.
