Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student acquires knowledge connected to conditions of natural habitat where plant production is led. Student describes soil tillage under particular groups of crop species. Student recognizes the group of conditions and consecutive proceedings (activities, acts, actions). The aim of these proceedings is to produce plant products. Student familiarizes with quality requirements set by industry for plant products. Student collects information related to appropriate rules of plant succession. Skills: Student compiles technology’s cards for selected species of crop plants and distinguishes plants at a various stages of their growth. Student estimates the state of plants under the influence of variable conditions of habitat and marks theoretical yield on the grounds of elements of yield structure/yield components. Student constructs crop rotation in accordance with the rules of integrated farming. Student states economic aspect incident to various technologies of cultivation and plant protection before pests.

Competences: Personal and social competences: Student shows cognition the appearances taking place between conditions of natural habitat and plant (plant-environment interactions). Student calculating the influence of agrotechnical factors on yielding and quality of plant yield, organizes and conducts research in a team of persons, appreciates importance and necessity of autodidactism and permanent learning. Student obeys occupational safety and health for use production goods and at operation on agricultural machinery. Student shows responsibility for confided equipment on field and workers.

Prerequisites: physics, chemistry and selected parts from protection of the environment

Course content: Natural habitat of crop plants, fundamentals of soil tillage and simplification in soil tillage, preparation of seeds for sowing and technology of sowing, evaluation of plant growth, plant care, harvest of crop plants, types of crop-rotations, programmes concerned the agriculture and environment (agri-environmental programme), Good Agriculural Practice. Crop Production Technology as a set of conditions and consecutive activities aimed at generating plant products, regionalization of crop varieties, developmental biology crops, yield components.
