Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes: Knowledge: student has a general knowledge of anatomy and physiology of humans and animals [BZ_W10] student understands the relationship between the environment of man and animal life and its structure and physiology [BZ_W22] student knows the basic physiological processes in the human body and animals [BZ_W23] Skills: student can to identify anatomical-functional relationships between the various organs and systems [BZ_U20] student defines the relationship between the various organs and systems [BZ_U21] student can to identify and anticipate risks that may result from disorders of individual systems [BZ_U22]

Competences: Social competence (attitudes): student understands the need for learning throughout life [BZ_K01] student can to thoughtfully analyze physiological phenomena occurring in the body [BZ_K14] student has responsibility for the entrusted equipment [BZ_K15]

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, zoology

Course content: Course contents: Basic life processes of organisms and the mechanisms of regulation and integration functions of animal organisms and humans. Basics of functional anatomy. Discrimination and excitable tissues. Electrophysiology. Reflex as a functional unit of the central nervous system. Sensory receptors. Sleep and sleep electroencephalogram. Neurohumoral control systems. Blood - The environment inside the body. Neurophysiological basis of animal behavior. Methods of in vivo and on isolated tissues and organs (in vitro).

Assessment methods: Methods of assessment: Assessment Exercise: the current rating (based on oral statements) progress and activity, regular (2 times a month) written tests to assess. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. In the case of excused absences the student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Completion of exercises based on the average ratings. Completion of the course: students holding a valid pass a written exam training text
