Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W01 – students have general knowledge on mathematics and statistics [BH1_W03; R1A_W01]; Skills: U01 – students are able to use information technology (computer software) to collect and process data on animal husbandry [BH1_U03; R1A_U03]; U02 – students can solve, under supervision of a teacher, simple research problems concerning agriculture, and then are able to interpret results and conclude [BH1_U04; R1A_U04];
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviours): K01 – students are aware of need of permanent upgrading of their knowledge [BH1_K01; R1A_K01].
Prerequisites: Mathematics, computer science
Course content: Course contents: The overall purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical background and practical skills concerning statistical methods used whensummarizing or describing a collection of data (descriptive statistics), data modelling, and then to draw inferences about the process under investigation (inferential statistics).
