Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - knows the rules of proper planning and conduct of anthropological research [KB2_W01, KB2_W07]; W2 - describes and explains the phenomena of human biology in statistical terms [KB2_W02, B2_W04]; W3 - knows the most important statistical tools and the basic principles of scientific elaboration in terms of content and formal [KB2_W02, KB2_W07]; W4 - knows rules for creating an interesting multimedia presentations [KB2_W01] Skills: Student: U1 - plans anthropological study by choosing appropriate research techniques, properly conducted and documented them [KB2_U01, KB2_U02]; U2 - analyzes the collected data and presents them graphically and in tabular summarizes, compares with other sources and draw conclusions [KB2_U04]; U3 - skillfully prepares medial-attractive presentations of own research and of other authors, also in a foreign language. Confronts his own views with others and discuss them using scientific terminology [KB2_U05, KB2_U10]; U4 - with a little help from a tutor can write a short, correct in the formal, scientific work in Polish and foreign language [KB2_U08, KB2_U10];

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 - is eager to update their knowledge of human biology [KB2_K01]; K2 - plans research tasks adjusting them to the aim of the study and to the possibilities [KB2_K03]; K3 - is happy to work with institutions and research centers in data collection and scientific research [KB2_K08]

Prerequisites: basic knowledge of anthropology

Course content: Discussion of the contents of all sub-thesis of master thesis. The rules of formulating the aim of work, discussion of the results, inventory of references. The basic principles of editorial. Planning of experiment and collection of research material. The conception of the work. Construction surveys and research cards. The statistical description of the results. Presentation of issues related to the proposed thesis topic.

Assessment methods: evaluate the activity and skill during referring the results of scientific; evaluation of the project's own scientific work
