Learning outcomes: The student has an elementary knowledge of thermodynamics, including the knowledge necessary to understand the basic physical phenomena occurring in agricultural engineering and the environment. The student has knowledge in the field of mathematics, including equations, functions, curves and surfaces, necessary for the description and analysis of phenomena that occur in agricultural engineering and food processing industries. The student has an elementary knowledge of systems, technologies, techniques and thermodynamic equipment in food processing and animal production. The student has the necessary preparation of hot and cooling problems, to work in agriculture and agri-food environment Can obtain information from literature, databases and other sources, interpret them and draw conclusions Based on the standard of engineering, student is able to solve manufacturing and operational problems in the field of thermodynamic devices occurring in agricultural engineering and forest management, including care for the environment Can communicate in matters related to thermal engineering in a professional environment

Competences: Is aware of the importance and impact of engineering activity towards agricultural and forestry, in terms of responsibility for the environment.

Prerequisites: Physics, Mathematics.

Course content: The material is in the field of thermodynamics ideal and real gases (transformation, cycles), convective heat transfer, contact, radiation, knows the rules and calculations for the combustion of solid, liquid and gas flows, combustion, moist air, water vapor, the theoretical basis of drying and cooling ..
