Learning outcomes: The aim of the subject is to let the students know: the basics of the Theme of processes including production processes, acknowledging the terminology of process management, differentiation of its types ( production and service enterprises), implementing classic and modern management concept and optimization of processes at different level of enterprise development, at evolutionary and revolutionary stage as well, implementing of controlling in process management and also methodology of production processes.

Competences: After completing the classes the student will possess the knowledge in the fields of: production processes analysis, preparation of all necessary documents connected with the stages of the production process, independent usage of different management and optimization tools of processes of various types. In addition, the student will be capable of process modeling especially in the view of enterprise informatization.

Prerequisites: Completed course of Management

Course content: Directions of organisation and management in modern management. Process approach in selected concepts of management and its practical usage. Division and structure of the industrial processes. Evolution of the process management concept. Production system and its environment- the notion and model of production system, basic targets of the enterprise’s organization and functioning. Creating and designing production processes. Structure of production process- Research and development stage, production and also distribution and customer’s service. Management of production processes in company. Production processes controlling – tools of process improving-(ABC process cost accounts, strategic Scorecard of BSC). Concepts of process improvement( revolutionary and evolutionary)- Business ProcessReengineering,Business Process Benchmarking.Process approach in the concept of Total Quality Management. Process in Kaizen philosophy. Process focus in Lean Management concept. Connection between processapproach and logistics. Process controlling in company.Ways ofdocumenting of process flow- process card, document circulation card, activity process, material flow chart. Software facilities to help in production process designing.
