Learning outcomes: The student after the lectures and classes should know the basics of spatial shaping, he should be able to determine the conditions for proper building of the spatial forms, he should know what methods to obtain the required objective of the task and practically apply in the design of landscape architecture.
Competences:
Prerequisites: It is recommended that a student takes part in the observation of the artistic life (exhibitions, and other events).
Course content: Expandable structures. About space. Relationships of visual nature occurring between the spatial elements. Contrast of forms, harmony, rhythm, composition. Land - as a vital element in shaping the environment. Landscape architecture. The working methods in designing. Element of variation in the environment design. Landscapes. Analysis of the selected examples of creation of an environment in the town of Wrocław. Modern trends and research in the area of formation of landscape architecture. Questions about the meaning of conscious creation of an environment.
Recommended literature: Art magazines: Format, Architektura Krajobrazu, Sculpture, Kwartalnik Rzeźby – Orońsko, EXIT – kwartalnik – Warszawa. Literature: „Historia Piękna”, „Dzieło Otwarte” – Umberto Eco, „Sztuka i złudzenie” - Ernst Gombrich, „Przestrzeń miejsce” – YI FU – TUAN.
