Learning outcomes: Knowledge explain the causes of common renal and urinary tract disorders of dogs and cats explain the clinical signs of common dogs and cats urinary tract disorders Explain the additional tests used in diagnosis of urinary tract disorders Explain the treatment methods of diagnosed disorders of urinary tract Practical skills Perform the anamnesis and clinical examination when the urinary tract disorders are suspected Perform the differential diagnosis and present the additional tests used in diagnosis of urinary tract disorders Perform the diagnosis of urinary tract disorders based on clinical signs and result of additional tests Perform the adequate treatment according to diagnosed diseases of urinary tract

Competences: Students are able to diagnose and treat the urinary tract disorders and use an additional prevention procedure

Prerequisites: Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, internal diseases, pharmacology

Course content: The main aim of the course is to provide the students with basic knowledge on the common dogs and cats urinary tract disorders, etiology, pathogenesis, treatment and prevention. This course shows the diagnostics methods, additional tests and procedure used in diagnosis of urinary tract disorders.
