Learning outcomes: He knows the extent of the use of spatial data; known method for determining the position and sources of spatial data; knows the rules for the collection, processing and analysis of data; knows the basics WebGIS and VGI; knows methods to search for information on the Internet. Knows how to implement a simple system GIS is able to perform simple and complex GIS analysis, can find information on the Internet.

Competences: The ability to use digital mapping and GIS setting. The ability to update digital maps calibrated raster maps and perform spatial analysis in GIS.

Prerequisites: information technology

Course content: GIS application area. Representation of spatial data. Positioning. Data capture and collect them in the database. Spatial data processing and analysis. Generalization and data visualization. GIS on the Internet, searching for information. Social GIS. Free software.
