Name: Technology and organization of construction works
Major: Water Engineering and Managment
Study Type: first cycle
Course type: compulsory
Study Semester: 6
ECTS points: 5
Hours (Lectures / Tutorials / Other): 30 / 30 / 0
Lecturer: dr hab. inż. Elżbieta Bondar-Nowakowska, prof. nadzw.
Language of instruction: Polish

Learning outcomes: He knows the rules for the optimal design of technology and the organization of work on subjects related to water; know how to identify common factors contributing to the risk of cost overruns and failure to implement the planned date of completion of the works, he knows the dangers to the environment generating works. It can determine the sequence of technological and organizational work in projects related to water management; selected dates, method and technology of the earthworks, in order to minimize adverse environmental effects, apply health and safety regulations governing the execution of work equipment and facilities in the field of water management, identify data need to develop a deterministic scheduling and probabilistic methods, know how to interpret the information contained in the schedules and determine whether they are conducted in accordance with folded terms.

Competences: It has a sense of responsibility for the efficient and rational management of resources for the construction works, he can anticipate and assess threats and respond to construction workers, bystanders and the environment caused by execution of works

Prerequisites:

Course content: Modern technology works in investment performance in the field of environmental engineering. Technical conditions for execution and acceptance of works. The use of linear programming, transportation issues, queuing theory, and multi-criteria optimization methods in the design of network technology and work organization. Determination of standard time to complete the task.
