Learning outcomes: Knowledge: After completing the course students will know: how to write research papers, knows how to use the different sources of scientific information known methods and tools for the design, analysis and presentation of data collected and the development of editorial text work. After finishing course the student is able to: independently collect, compile and present the data that form the basis of a study, he can prepare for a public appearance with a presentation and discussion on a specific topic related to a wide range of problems in engineering and water management.

Competences: After completing the course students will aware of the need for self-learning and increase knowledge and skills in the discipline of engineering and water management.

Prerequisites:

Course content: Current problems of water management in Poland and the world; modern methods of water use for different purposes; shaping the environment conducive to improving the quantity and quality of water, other aspects of water management, protection against the effects of extreme hydrological events.

Recommended literature: The scientific work of topics adapted to the specific thesis approved by the Dean of the Faculty.

Assessment methods: preparation and presentation of papers on a given topic, activity in seminars.

Comment: Giving the students prepared papers on a given topic from the scope of the current problems of water management, the use of modern methods and ways to use this component of the environment and the development of economic conditions in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
