Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should be familiar with basic terms of jurisprudence, and the bases of substantive law and administrative law on land use, investment location, and construction activity. He should know environmental protection law and procedures related to land use planning Student should know the legal basis of carrying out of landscape architect profession.

Competences: Knowledge of the basic terms of jurisprudence, and the bases of substantive law and administrative law on land use, investment location, and construction activity.

Course content: The basic terms of law, norm of law and rule of law, lawmaking, law enforcement, interpretation of the law, the rules of law. Sources of law and sources of knowledge of law, types of legislation, a system of law, principles of social coexistence, the essence of law state, the state structure. Polish constitution of the Republic of Poland. Basic principles. The general part of civil law, the scope of civil law, civil law systematics, the source of civil law, norms of civil law, civil law enforcement. Property law, the notion of things, the classification of things, membership, farm, property and asset, legal activities, legal events, movable and immovable things labeled as to species, and as to the identity, the components of things. The substantive administrative law on the use of sites, location of investments and construction activity. The basic institutions and principles of administrative adjective law, proceeding before administrative bodies, selected aspects of the code of administrative procedure. Problematic aspects of the law on environment protection and development. Problematic aspects of building regulations and investment process, construction work contract. Problems of the law on environmental protection and landscaping, environmental protection in investing activity, restrictions on the use of the environment. Nature conservation act and the protection of cultural goods. The law on spatial planning, the importance of spatial planning, characteristics of local planning documents Acts of international law in the protection of nature and landscaping. The legal bases for the profession of landscape architect. The legal characterization of the persons in the legal system. A natural person, legal person.
