Learning outcomes: Knowledge: After graduation, student has a general knowledge of the basic therms of marketing and marketing orientation of the food industry enterprises. He knows marketing information sources, methods of data collection and marketing techniques. He knows the rules of marketing information system in the sphere of food companies. Skills: The student is able to define the main marketing problems of a company. He is capable of using his knowledge to develop a marketing plan of the company. He knows how to obtain information from primary and secondary sources. He can do the marketing analysis and interpret its results.

Competences: Social skills (Attitudes): He is able to communicate with producers in order to obtain the information necessary to formulate a marketing diagnosis. He can communicate with buyers to obtain the information necessary to develop a marketing plan. He is capable of passing the relevant marketing information on to the managers and company personnel.

Prerequisites: Economics

Course content: Consumers’ needs, products, classification and characteristics of food markets, factors affecting the demand and the price level, the theory of consumer behaviour, marketing research methodology, marketing management.
