Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student has the knowledge of the world at different levels of the organization: from the molecular level through the cell, tissue and organs plant into whole plants. He knows the morphology of plants. Skills: The student can use a microscope; can interpret preparations.

Competences: Competences: The student is aware of the need for lifelong continuing education. Understands the need to care for research equipment. Understands the need to work in teams.

Course content: Cytology: Structure and comparison of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. Formation of photosynthesizing eukaryotic cells. Histology: Characteristics of plant tissues, arrangements of tissues. Anatomy and morphology of plants: presentation of anatomical and morphological structure of vegetative plant organs like root, steam (of green and wooden plants), leaf. Primary and secondary plant structure. Anatomical and morphological structure of generative plant organs: formation and structure of flowers, fruits and seeds, classification of flower clusters and fruits, development and structure of a germ. Main groups of living organisms.
