Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student knows the structure and functioning of security systems and has a general knowledge about the tasks of services and inspections in maintenance of security. He uunderstands the main principles of planning in case of emergency events. He knows the basics of safety management at the level of local government and economic operators. Skills: The student is able to identify the causes of the emergency events. He can describe the problems arising during the preparation of a crisis management plan. He can assess the risk of emergency events occurrence. He can propose the use of crisis management resources in emergency situations. He is able to develop the selected items of the crisis management plan.

Prerequisites: national and international low; information processes
Course content: Poland's security systems. The plane of the security policy. Emergency events, phenomena and crisis situations. States of emergency. Basic issues of management theory; conservative and progressive management. The concept, phases and levels of crisis management. Management of defense system. Safety management at central and local government levels. Crisis management plans. Services roles in the security system. Civil defense. Civilian and military cooperation.
