Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student gets the theoretical and practical knowledge in range of wood structures, technology of processes, using suitability of chosen kind of wood and wood-processed materials. He acquaints himself with methods of wood-processed assortment productions to constructions using and technology lines to productions of pellets and briquettes. Skills: Student purchases the skill to quality verification of wood material, design technology of processes and calculates of using range. Also, he able to count the basic strength parameters and estimate of produce cost of wood-processed products with estimate it’s suitably to constructional using. Students has knowledge about appreciate influence of using technologies of processes on environment

Competences: The student estimates and explains influence of various factors on rationally using of wood materials and production wastes on environmental protection. He understands that intensification to using the new materials and technologies of its production improving necessity and the need of the additional schooling.

Prerequisites: Botanic, basic knowledge about materials.

Course content: Resource of wood material, actually status and prognoses. Structure of requirement. The wood classification: kinds, sorts and qualities. The composites of LVL, MDF, PSL type. Macroscopic and microscopic wood structure and wood-processed material, its physically mechanically and chemically properties. Technology and economic aspects of wood material processes.

Assessment methods: Knowledge: colloquiums. Skills: Graduation realization of laboratory works. Personal and social competences: Graduation of the effects of the individual and team work, correctness of utilization of acquired knowledge to solving the practically problems.
