Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student has an extended knowledge obout landscapes and seminatural and their fragments and elements possible to recreate in ecological gardens, knows natural vegetation and traditional and historical taxa of decorative and useful plants grown in Polish gardens. He/she can actually compose and select plant species, with special emphasis on native plants for various types of habitats, taking into account the conditions phytosociological R2A_W05, R2A_W07 has expanded knowledge of sustainable design and maintenance gardens. R2A_W05, R2A_W06 Skills: He can act, restore and create natural landscapes or their fragments in the garden, preserving biodiversity, can design and conduct naturalistic planting according to the principles of integrated and organic production and provide a graphical design R2A_U02, R2A_U05, R2A_U07, R2A_U08 has an in-depth skills in the field of plant arrangement in naturalistic assumptions R2A_U06

Competences: ma świadomość ryzyka i potrafi ocenić skutki społeczne wykonywanej działalności w zakresie szeroko rozumianego ogrodnictwa z uwzględnieniem jego wpływu na środowisko, ma wyrobioną postawę proekologiczną wobec krajobrazu, przyrody, kultury lokalnej poprzez kształtowanie, użytkowanie i utrzymywanie ogrodów ekologicznych R2A_K06 potrafi prawidłowo określić oraz rozwiązać problemy związane z planowaniem i realizacją założeń naturalistycznych R2A_K04 Docenia znaczenie nieustannego poszerzania wiedzy i umiejętności. Prerequisites: Botany, Soil Management, Ornamental Plants

Course content: Designing of natural lansdcape, criteria of selecting plants for natural garden, basic Polish plant formations,ornamental perennials for natural flower bads, plants for shady sites, plants for wetlands, ornamental grasses and meadows, ecological garden.
