Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - knows the characteristics of environmental groups common species of plants and aquatic animals [BI_W01]; - is characterized by the construction of food webs in aquatic ecosystems [BI_W02]; - understands the need to protect the waters and their resources, and the need to maintain or restore biodiversity in rivers, lakes and seas [BI_W01, BI_W03]; - has sufficient knowledge to describe and explain the phenomena and processes in the aquatic environment [BI_W02, BI_W03]; - has in-depth knowledge of research methods used in aquatic systems [BI_W04, BI_W11]; - has knowledge of the ecological groupings hydrobionts and their importance in the ecosystem [BI_W03, BI_W07]. Skills: - organizes research in the field of aquatic systems in the field and in the laboratory [BI_U02, BI_U06]; - reates a correct statement of the results of research [BI_U06, BI_U12]; - skillfully uses sampling device hydrobiological field and properly uses the equipment in the hydrobiological lab. [BI_U02, BI_U06]; - draws the correct conclusions based on the results obtained, skillfully finds the source material and critically interpret them [BI_U05, BI_U09, BI_U14]. Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): - it has a sense of responsibility for the tasks performed jointly by a team [BI_K02]; - it can serve as both a leader and the contractor during the performance of tasks in [BI_K02].

Competences: The completion the course makes it possible to work in hydrobiology laboratories as well as institutions of water environment protection, also in fishing, and it authorizes to perform basic scientific investigations in hydrobiology.
