Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W1 - student has a generalknowledge of anatomy and physiology of animals [BH1-W01; R1A_W01; InzA_W01] W2 - student understands the relationship between the environment of animal life and its structure and physiology [BH-W18; R1A_W06;R1A_W03; InzA_W03InzA_W06] W3 - student knows the basic physiological processes in the animal body [BH1-W11; R1A_W04]] Skills: U1 - student can to identify anatomical-functional relationships between the various organs and systems [BH1 - U05; R1A_U05; InzA_U05 InzA_U07] U2 - student defines the relationship between the various organs and systems [ BH1 - U04R1A_U04; InzA_U01; InzA_U07;InzA_U08] U3 - student can to identify and anticipate risks that may result from disorders of individual systems [BH1 - U13R1A_U05; R1A_U07; InzA_U02;InzA_U04]

Prerequisites: -chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, zoology

Course content: Basic life processes of organisms and the mechanisms of regulation and integration functions of animal organisms. Basics of functional anatomy. Excitability and excitable tissues. Electrophysiology. Reflex as a functional unit of the central nervous system. Sensory receptors. Sleep and sleep electroencephalogram. Neurohumoral control systems. Blood - The environment inside the body. Neurophysiological basis of animal behavior. Methods of in vivo and on isolated tissues and organs (in vitro).
