Learning outcomes: Knowledge: student knows the rules of the functioning of aquatic organisms; student explains how the aquatic animals adapt to water environment; student explains strategy of gaining nourishment, reproduction and parental protection;student understands the interaction on level inside and between species. Skills: student analyzes environmental adaptation of build and functions of aquatic organisms; student analyzes and interprets in an appropriate way every connection between life environment and aquatic organisms’ build.

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): student plans scientific experiments adapting them to circumstances, held labware and capabilities; student is aware of hazards for human health, resulting from the progress of civilization.

Course content: Importance of aquaculture in Poland and elsewhere. Main species of aquaculture animals. Husbandry and breeding in aquaculture – crayfishes, crabs, shrimps, catfish and selected mariculture animals.
