Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student knows technical conditions related to the construction of internal plumbing; knows the most important parameters associated with operation of the installation; has knowledge of the basic design elements of the installation; knows rules of selection and deployment of sanitation. Skills Student can determine the demand for water, calculate amount of generated wastewater, amount of air ventilated, heat demand of buildings; knows how to practically apply learned computational and design techniques in construction, is able to offer basic technical procedures relating to proper functioning of basic sanitation, can use standards and regulations in force in the design and construction.

Competences: Is aware of impact of proper functioning of sanitation on work and leisure of man; shows understanding of proper use (saving water and energy) from sanitary systems.

Prerequisites: mathematics, fluid mechanics, water supply and sewerage system

Course content: Microclimate of the premises, heat balance and calculation of heat loss, heating systems. Heating factors, water heating with natural and forced circulation, steam heating, air heating. Heaters of central heating – types and selection, wiring and central heating equipment, boilers, chimneys, flues. Protection of central heating, heating nodes, basic knowledge of heat. Cold water plumbing, water supply of buildings, water supply connection, water meters node, water meters – types and selection. Calculation of internal water supply, improving and maintaining water pressure in system, cooperation of pumps-hydrophore tank and pump – top tank configurations, construction of internal water supply – materials and test and control fittings. Waterworks fire protection equipment, hot water systems - systems and types, preparation and distribution of central hot water (thermal centers for domestic hot water). Local preparation of hot tap water, pipes and fittings for hot water systems, heat meters - construction and operation. Plumbing system in the building, working conditions and the calculation of internal plumbing, dual sewerage. Ventilation of sewers, pipes and drains of inside sewerage, storm water drainage. Gas installations, properties and distribution of flammable gases, tanks for gas storage and transmission of gas. Wireless gas, scheme of gas installations, health and safety at the gas works. Ventilation and air conditioning, ventilation, natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation. Calculating amount of ventilation air, mechanical ventilation devices, general news from air conditioning.
