Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student can define concepts such as: product, commodity, goods; can describe the rules for the development of new products; know the rules for sampling, preparation of samples for analysis, and their preservation; know the basics of good laboratory practice and the rules for drawing up the basic documentation of research and calibration laboratories; can list the general requirements for the competences of laboratories (the content of PN ISO 17025); can describe the different stages and requirements for accreditation process; know the rules for the validation of test methods. Skills: The Student can do: design a new product, design and develop documentation for research laboratory (procedures and instructions), to draw up a code of good laboratory practices, interpret the content of PN ISO 17025.

Competences: The Student is aware of the responsibility for tasks implemented in a team. After completion of the course is open to cooperation with the teams which design and oversee the work of research laboratories in organizational units related to the production and distribution of food products. Is able to pursue the project documentation in force in laboratories

Prerequisites: micro and macro economy, management, marketing, microbiology, food technology, hygienic

Course content: The basics of economy and marketing knowledge related to products, commodities, goods; the rules for the preparation of documentation of research laboratories; the fundamental points of good laboratory practices; the content of PN ISO 17025; principles for the validation of analytical methods; guidelines for the accreditation of research laboratories.
