Hours (Lectures / Tutorials / Other): 9 / 27 / 0
Lecturer: dr inż. Wojciech Kilian
Language of instruction: Polish

Learning outcomes: Knowledge The student knows what is the purpose and capabilities of AutoCAD software. Knows the basic means of communication with the program. Has the knowledge to customise user interface and the environment. The student knows the concepts, commands, drawing tools and methods necessary to create technical documentation for two-dimensional drawing (2D), consistent with the principles of engineering drawing standards for construction industry. Understands the principles of modelling in three dimensions (3D) using wireframe, surface and solid models (geometry representation). Understands the relationship between the model space and layout of a document. Skills Student is able to configure the environment to suit one’s preferences. Is able to locate appropriate commands and options associated with 2D modelling using: main menu, toolbars and command line. Can create 2D drawings containing all the required elements (descriptions, dimensions, tables, etc.) in accordance with the principles set out in appropriate standards. Students can use scanned raster files as background images for preparing vector drawings. Has the ability to create simple 3D models, as well as transforming 2D models in 3D. Students can prepare output (polling or pdf) in the required format and scale. Student knows how to back up drawing files, manage, and exchange them with other participants in the project group.

Competences: Based on the acquired knowledge of the methods and tools of AutoCAD student is competent and a full member of a project team.

Prerequisites: Descriptive geometry and technical drawing, Information Technology.
