Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - defines the concept of hippotherapy, physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy [KB2_W04]; W2 - selects and describes the breed of horses suitable for hippotherapy [KB2_W04]; W3 - features the basic of the disease, which in hippotherapy is useful [KB2_W01_BC]. Skills: Student: U1 - selects hippotherapy horses suitable for children and adults [KB2_U02, KB2_U01_BC]; U2 - plans horses training for hippotherapeutical courses [KB2_U09]; U3 - equestrian center designs tailored for the needs of people with disabilities [KB2_U09].
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 – is open and sensitive to the problems of people with disabilities [KB2_K09, K2B_K06]; K2 - aware of the possibility of the use of horses in the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities [KB2_K06].
Prerequisites: Horse breeding,
Course content: Basic concepts of rehabilitation, physiotherapy, forms of hippotherapy, kinds of security, horse training in hippotherapy, hippotherapy centers organization.
