Learning outcomes: Knowlege: Student gets messages regarding problems of logistics management business entity conducting commercial activity and services. You know the main principles of logistics organization in these types of companies and key issues of economics and organization of the various modes of transport, with particular regard to its infrastructure. It is characterized by the importance of the processes and logistics systems for the functioning of the organization and the national economy. Skills: Student gains skills in the organization and management of logistics activities in the organization, analysis, logistic sphere of economic activity, controls the flow of goods, information in the subject, the provision of logistics services by the operator, in particular economic, technical and marketing determinants of the choice of the logistics system.

Competences: Social competence: Student is able to .identify determinants of logistics activities that occur in a given branch of economic activity, identifies and processes and is characterized by its impact on logistics subsystems. It manifests understanding of the need for training in the field of logistics management

Prerequisites: Logistics in the enterprise, the fundamentals of management, statistics and operational research.

Course content: The principles of organization subsystems logistics organizations, the characteristics of transport and forwarding business, with particular emphasis on organizational and economic problems. Typology of goods due to the applied production processes, The choice of modes of transport and carrier. Packaging and labeling. Place logistics customer service, creating value. Storage, distribution centers - multimodality transport. The use of ICT in the management of logistics processes.

Assessment methods: Evaluation of the effects of education in the field of knowledge: essay. Evaluating the effects of education in the skills: assessment of skills in the characteristics of logistics problems, proposing a flexible transport solutions, independent analysis of economic conditions for the processes and logistics systems. Evaluating the effects of training in social skills: skills assessment team collaboration, participation in solving selected problems with regard to the critical analysis of the scope of knowledge necessary for a better understanding of the logistics process. Assessment Exercise: to assess the preparations for the exercises, written test, the execution of tasks, presentation, participation in the discussion. Lecture essay (exam).
