Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student knows the methods and methodologies for assessing the effects of human impact in selected parts of the environment, according to the specialization of study; OŚ2_W12 He has knowledge of law and natural and technical solutions to reduce the effects of anthropopressure and repair damage in the environment; Skills: He can classify and valuate selected elements of the environment, according to the specialization of study; OŚ2_U05 Assess the effects of human impact in selected elements of the environment, using appropriate methods and using the law; Elaborate proposals for action to reduce the effects of human impact and eliminate damage in the environment;
Competences: Social competence: He knows how to set priorities when making the planned tasks; knows how to coordinate the work of his own and others, property managing time; Student is aware of individual and social responsibility for the environment and quality of food production, knows how to predict the environmental effects of activities undertaken, can indicate risk minimization activities;
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of nature conservation and environmental protection, the law in environmental protection, waste management, water management, natural resources, monitoring.
Course content: Legal basis of environmental protection in Poland and the EU. Current place of the environmental decision in the investment process control system. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive - proposals for amendments. Strategic Environmental Assessment – (SEA) Directive. Industrial Emission Directive (IED) - how to implement in Polish law. Environmental decisions - competencies of the administrative, the qualification procedure, content, justification, legal effects of assessment and reasons for refusal the decision. The scope of documentation relating to the emissions of dust and gases into the air, waste management and wastewater management. Integrated permit. Environmental management system in the Polish company - ISO 14001: 2004.

Assessment methods: Knowledge: Tests, assessment of project tasks, assessment of presentation content, written exam Skills: Assessment of completed projects with documentation, assessment of prognosis and the initial report to the Integrated permit. Personal and social competences: assessment of the effects of teamwork, accuracy assessment of selected options to the basic principles of environmental protection, assessment of presentations and discussion
