Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student: W1 - knows the research objectives and methodology of occupational health and safety and ergonomics; knows functional determinants of system: man-machine and human - environment [BC1_W19, BC1_W21]; W2 - defines the basic factors of work environment and their impact on the human body [BC1_W21]; W3 - knows the potential health effects caused by chemical, biological and physical factors at work [BC1_W21]; W04 - understand the biological and environmental causes of tiredness [BC1_W21]. Skills Student: U1 - interprets results of measurements of the physical working environment to its optimization [BC1_U15]; U2 - uses the basic diagnostic techniques to assess the level of occupational risk and biological work load [BC1_U02, BC1_U15].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors) Student: K1 - is aware of the risks in incorrectly designed environment of work [BC1_K06]; K2 - correctly formed his place of work [BC1_K09].

Course content: Definition of ergonomics and occupational safety, conditions for the operation of the system man-machine; physical, chemical and biological factors of work environment, anthropometry as an ergonomic system of reference; ergonomics issues of perception of signals in the process of labor, occupational health of mental and physical work.

Assessment methods: Written test after semester; (30 closed questions). Assessment takes 60 minutes. Minimum 60% of knowledge to pass.
