Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student has theoretical and practical knowledge of new technologies in tillage and crop rotation. Student associates the meaning of modern and future soil and crop management in formation of soil conditions and crop productivity. Skills: Student can show the differences between traditional and modern technologies in soil and crop management. Student can plan crop rotations according to rules of integrated agriculture. Student assesses crop and soil status under new technology in tillage.

Competences: Student understands the necessity of proper crop rotation and the use of new technologies in tillage. Student understands the necessity of their use in production of crops and protection of soil environment. Student appreciates the need for self-improvement and the necessity of trainings. Student obeys rules of industrial safety during tillage.

Prerequisites: Soil science, soil and crop management, agricultural chemistry.

Course content: Concise presentation of modern technologies in crop production, theoretical acquaintance with drawbacks and merits of varying technologies in Poland and in the world. Simplifications in tillage, the possibilities in pesticide reduction, non-conventional methods in soil fertility improvement. Technologies according to idea of sustainable development.
