Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student W1 - define the concept of hippotherapy, physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy [BH2_W03, R2A_W02]; W2 - selects and describes the breed of horses suitable for hippotherapy, evaluates the body construction of horses for their suitability for hippotherapy [BH2_W06, R2A_W03; BH2_W21, R2A_W06]; W3 - planning and organizing: activities with people with disabilities, hippotherapy centers and centers for the breeding and training of horses for hippotherapy [BH2_W17, R2A_W09]. Skills: Student U1 - selects hippotherapy horses suitable for children and adults, selects horses for recreation and sport for the disabled [BH2_U04, R2A_U04, R2A_U06]; U2 - plans horses training for hippotherapeutical courses, organizing rest and work with the horse after hippotherapy work [BH2_U09, R2A_U06; BH2_U21, R2A_U04, R2A_U06 ]; U3 - equestrian center designs tailored for the needs of people with disabilities [BH2_U02, R2A_U02, R2A_U03; BH2_U03, R2A_U03].
Competences: Student: K1- open and sensitive to the problems of people with disabilities [BH2-K01, R2A_K01; BH2-K02, R2A_K02].
Prerequisites: Horse breeding
Course content: Basic concepts of rehabilitation, physiotherapy, forms of hippotherapy, kinds of security, horse training in hippotherapy, hippotherapy centers organization.

Assessment methods: Evaluation on the basis of oral statements (verification U1, K1); evaluate the activity during practical classes with the horse (verification U1, U2, and K1) - this will act as 25% of the final grade. At the end of the exercise, each student prepares an outline of work for 30 minute classes with hippotherapy (verification W3, U3) - this will act as 25% of the final grade. Attendance at the exercises is mandatory; student can only have one unexcused absence. In the absence excused student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. The basis of credit for the course is a pass exercises and pass a written test (20 questions - test takes 40 min.). If the test is not counted in the first time, the student has the right to pass again. Minimum of knowledge to pass 60%. During the test will be verified knowledge (W1, W2) - it will be 50% of the final grade.
