Learning outcomes: Knowledge: He has expertise in the design of systems and devices for the acquisition and utilization of solar energy R1 RES _W05. It has an elementary knowledge of law, economics R1 RES _W07. Has a general knowledge of systems, technologies, techniques, equipment and tools used in the production of energy from renewable sources. R1OŹE _W11 Skills: Able to obtain information from the literature, databases, and other sources; can integrate the information obtained, to make their interpretation, as well as to draw conclusions and formulate and justify opinions. R1OŹE_U01 Able to identify and determine the specificity of simple engineering tasks and to develop documentation on the task of engineering and prepare a text containing a discussion of the results of this task R1OŹE _U03 Able to solve using standard engineering activities and operational production problems in obtaining solar energy, while taking account of the requirements associated with care for the environment R1OŹE _U11 He can make a preliminary analysis of the economic viability of the planned investment. R1OŹE _U13

Competences: Is aware of the importance, responsibility and consequences of engineering activities towards renewable energy and waste management in terms of responsibility for the quality of life for people and the environment. R1OŹE _K02 He can think and act in an entrepreneurial way, he knows the rules for creating individual entrepreneurship R1OŹE _K06

Prerequisites: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics

Course content: Design concepts of energy systems based on renewable energy sources in houses and in the Region. Rules and algorithms design of ground heat exchangers to improve the performance of the ventilation and entrusts heat pumps with their lower heat sources. Passive House concept. Rekuperatorowych system design. Guidelines and requirements in the field of installation and compilation of the line components for the acquisition and use of renewable energy sources.

Assessment methods: Assessment of learning outcomes in terms of knowledge: passing classes on the basis of completed projects to obtain the installation of solar energy (solar heating systems and photovoltaic) and the location of the wind turbine.
