Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student has a knowledge about influence of invasive plant species on agroecosystem functioning and the interaction between its components. He knows mechanisms and character of influence of invasive species on ecosystems. Skills: Student can recognise species limiting the biodiversity and use the appropriate methods for eradication these species. He is able to analyse the phenomena in agroecosystem under the influence of invasive species.

Competences: Student understand harmfulness of introducing the invasive species into environment. He understand importance of biodiversity in ecosystem functioning as well as negative effects of limitation of biodiversity caused by human activity.

Prerequisites: Botanic, soil science, plant nutrition, soil and plant cultivation, plant protection.

Course content: The definition of biodiversity. The factors shaping the biodiversity. Influence of invasive species on species structure and insects. Invasive species. Types of alien species. Stages of invasion. Methods of elimination of invasive species. Law regulations, concerning introduction and elimination of invasive species. Characteristic of invasive plant species. Project of threat of ecosystem and plan of eradication of alien species.
