Learning outcomes: Knowledge issues theory to spray liquid basis and technique plant protection. The classification of machinery and equipment, construction and operation of the basic working units taking into account their structural differences and actions. Conditions of the proper use of chemical plant protection methods and methodology research apparatus for use of pesticides. The basic premise of the course is mastering by the students of the subject at a level which ambiguously interpreted to obtain permission to pursue activities in the field of plant protection, for example, performing technical research and diagnostics equipment and perform various treatments from the scope of application of the plant protection products.The skills to use basic principles apply spray to protect the plants, use ground spraying theory to evaluate the quality of work elements and working apparatus plant protection. Mastering the skills of practical use of technical-technological machinery and equipment used in modern agriculture in terms of the use of pesticides. Mastering the skills of practical use of the basic diagnostic equipment to assess and implement labour characteristics of equipment for plant protection. Acquisition of skills to carry out procedures tests technical and operational apparatus to protect plants. Skills testing apparatus and equipment to assess the quality of the performed treatments.

Competences: Knowledge of the subject allows basic mastering ambiguously interpreted the message to apply for obtaining permission for use of plant protection products, test equipment for the use of plant protection products and advisory activities in that regard. The ability to recognize and identify the risks arising from the use of pesticides in food production resulting in activities to reduce environmental contamination, reduce the content of pesticides in foods and to enhance the safety of users of equipment for the use of plant protection products.

Prerequisites: General agricultural science of mechanics

Course content: The theory of the spraying and the use of the liquid. Method of chemical plant protection products. The classification and construction of apparatus for chemical protection of plants. The principle of operation of basic assemblies and use rules for plant protection treatments sprayers in the production field. Rules for plant protection treatments in the production of this fruit, the vegetable and under the covers. Periodic testing of sprayers and diagnostics equipment. The development of plant protection technique. Outline of the methodologies of research apparatus for use of plant protection products. Basic rules of safety at work when applying pesticides.

Assessment methods: Knowledge: exercise reports, papers, colloquia, exam Skills: technical assessment, the preparation of the procedures for the exercise of treatments and diagnostics, perform diagnostic tests, execution of the procedure. Social competence: preparing the team presentation, individual justify the action taken, the discussion in groups.
