Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student after completion of the course has a knowledge associated with the general basis for the design of green spaces. He represents knowledge of the needs arising from area specification (ex. its location, function, social conditions, natural conditions); represents knowledge of basic methods and techniques enabling him to execution the project correctly. Student knows how to improve the quality of human life through the appropriate use of a specified area. He can use the methodological approach in solving of the design task. Skills: Student can prepare the project documentation in accordance with the formal determinants. He knows how to use appropriate methods, techniques and tools to accomplish design task. Student has the ability to carry out field inventory, analyze previously collected data and establish guidelines for the project. He can determine the relationship of the proposed facility with the surroundings, appropriate to its location, functional, spatial, social, cultural and natural conditions use sources of information in designing; choose the design method to the design task.

Competences: Student identifies and resolves problems related to the adjustment of the land aimed at pre users' expectations. He understands the connection between the space development and its surrounding.

Prerequisites: Designing of Landscape Architecture Objects 1-3; Computer Aided Design

Course content: Type and scope of classes: design classes, concerning the land development project. Classes consist of two major parts: an inventory-analysis aimed to familiarize with the terrain and the project part includes design in the forms of graphics and text. The scope of classes also includes familiarization with the basics of designing of landscape architecture objects arising from the findings of studies, land use planning conservation guidelines, social participation and project customer participation in the design process. Lectures content: Shaping of the elements of green areas in the city landscape; Green areas as a element of city structure; system of urban greenery; the green infrastructure term; typology of green areas due to the functions (greenery accompanying street, areas for recreation and relaxation, commercial buildings, areas in residential developments, areas associated with sacred objects, objects of education, administration, hospitals and health care centers, industrial construction, sports facilities etc.); typology of greenery on grounds of social affiliation (public spaces, semi-public, private); green areas in the renewal process of the urban landscape; design of green areas, taking into account the needs of disabled people and with limited efficiency; legal acts concerning on projects of green areas.

Assessment methods: Pass of classes based on the final mark of the project (skills and knowledge), also for putting partial project (skills and knowledge); uniformity of analysis and presentation in the group (competences); activity in the form of presence and consultation (competences).
