Learning outcomes: During the course a theoretical knowledge and practical skills arc gained permitting student in protection of rare plants. Presented problems enable will acquaint of students with variability of orchids, taxonomy of orchids, distribution of orchids and use orchids in housekeeping.

Competences: Passing the course permits working in Botanical Garden and broaden the scope the plants tropical zone and subtropical zone.

Prerequisites:

Course content: Taxonomy of orchids, ecology of orchids (terrestrial orchids, epiphyte), distribution in the world, biology of orchids: pollination (adaptation of flowers to pollination for insects) and pollen; mycorhiza-importance of mycorhiza, development of plants, production of fruits and seeds
