Learning outcomes: Knowledge: After completing the course, the student will: W1 - knows the basic rights and issues of the basics of classical genetics cytogenetics, immunogenetics and population genetics quantitative traits Skills: Student: U1 - is able to explain and analyze the phenomena of genetic inheritance and the problem of the quality characteristics of autosomal and sex-linked traits, U2 - is able to correctly interpret the variability of quality characteristics and to draw practical conclusions , U3 - able to recognize the types of chromosomal aberrations.

Competences: K1 - The student understands the importance of knowledge of genetics in the practice and its continuous updating

Prerequisites: biochemistry

Course content: Determining in the genetic characteristics of the animal, inheritance and variability of quality characteristics, mutations and mutagenic factors, sex and inheritance of sex-linked traits, issues of classical genetics, molecular and cytogenetics.
