Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student possesses theoretical knowledge how to use databases and how to acquire spatially distributed data on the environment. Student knows CAD and GIS software that allows to make analysis and presentation of spatial data to improve the efficiency of the environmental management. Skills: Student possesses ability to integrate environmental spatial data from different types of distributed databases and spatial/geographic information systems. Student possesses practical ability to use CAD and GIS to process spatially distributed data on the environment and to produce prognosis of changes in the environment.

Competences: Social competences: Student understands social and legal conditions to publish information about the state of the environment. Student is able to learn both independently and collectively. He can manage the learning process of others in the field of CAD and GIS application.

Prerequisites: Engineering Graphics, Geodesy and Cartography

Course content: Opportunities of using CAD and GIS in environmental management. Design using CAD system. Representation of spatial data. Processing and analysing of spatially distributed data using GIS. Visualization and presentation of data. Data resources on the Internet. Integration of CAD and GIS systems.
