Learning outcomes: Knowledge: After the course the student knows the possibilities of computer support decision-making processes in the enterprise, including field of renewable energy and waste management and the quality management R1 OŹE _W06, R1 OŹE _W08. The student understands the benefits of IT solutions in solving decision problems and is aware of the risks and responsibilities in the application R1 OŹE _W16. Skills: With the use of IT tools student acquires, analyzes and interprets the information’s necessary for decision-making process R1TRL_U01, R1TRL_U04 Student builds computer models of decision problems and evaluate the results of their analysis R1TRL_U03, R1TRL_U04, R1TRL_U05. R1TRL_U09, R1TRL_U11.
Competences: Social competences: The student has the competence’s to understand the social and environmental aspects of the usage of IT solutions in the decision making process, and has awareness of his knowledge and skills and the associated liability R1OŹE_K02, R1OŹE_K04. The student has the awareness of the importance of behavior in a professional manner and respect for the rules of professional ethics and the protection of intellectual property R1OŹE_K03.
Prerequisites: Computer skills, knowledge of Excel
Course content: Decision-making processes. Information as a resource and its importance in decision-making process (data, message, functions and management of information ). Computer networks and the Internet in the management process. Types of management information systems. Tools and decision support systems. Logical decision-making functions in Excel, the analysis - what happens when ?, conditional summation and counting, solver).
