Learning outcomes: Knowledge: He has a general knowledge of drawing techniques and computer graphics program operation used in the field of technological processes and production systems design. He has a general knowledge of the engineering design and computer engineering graphics including technical drawing and schemes of the machinery parts as well as complex technical systems. He has a general knowledge of informatics related to the assistance of the engineering works and CAD design. He has a general knowledge of design-construction processes and is able to explain the rules of the technical devices construction. He solves individually technical tasks designing simple devices being composed of screw connections, shafts, grooves etc. Skills: Can elaborate a technical design of new production and exploitation systems in terms of the production engineering using computer graphics program. Has an ability of objects and technical processes design applying engineering graphics with computer assistance as well as practical reading ability of drawings, machinery schemes, devices and technical systems. Has an ability of use of computer assistance of engineering works required to solve technical tasks including self-education. Can obtain information from literature, databases and other sources, is able to integrate the information, make their interpretation, as well as draw conclusions and use the results in the graphics engineering. Can individually solve simple technical tasks. Has an ability of selection of typical jointed elements for designed technical devices. Can distinguish methods of concept creation and use them in practice. Can estimate costs and investments required during the design process.

Competences: Is aware of the importance of the training and self-improvement in the area work computer assistance and design of simple devices in the agricultural production engineering. Understands the need of continuous training to increase the skills gained during the studies. Is able to work as a responsible person for a final results of the work or a part of the charged task in the area of engineering graphics. Is aware of the influence of his work on the people safety as well as production maintenance.

Prerequisites: Basics Informatics, Basics of technical drawing

Course content: Training in the range of the course in the semester 2 contains knowledge in the area of machinery technical drawing and basics of the operation of the computer graphics program AutoCAD 2011.
