Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - Student knows stratygraphy, skeletptopy, holotopy, syntopy of the structures and the organs of the domesticated animals -assess the regularity of morphology of the animals -indicates inter- species and – breeds differences and in anatomical features of certain structures and organs -acquires skills in contact with live animals -acquires skills in palpation of the animals Practical skills: -Students perform the topographical partition of animal body parts and indicate the clinical important regions and points of animal body. -Students use both Latin and English anatomical terminology. -Students discuss the role of knowledge on topographical anatomy in veterinary medicine. -Student has sufficient knowledge for further application in the process of learning in the course of the studies.

Competences: -Student has ability to work within a working group. -acquires skills to make quick decisions in contact with live animal. -understands the importance of individual structures and organs in clinical practice -understands the need for learning throughout life

Prerequisites: Animal anatomy, histology, cell biology, biochemistry.

Course content: The objective of the module is to teach the specific position of anatomical structures and organs in domesticated animals (dog, cat, cattle and horses). Comparative analysis of the morphology of above mentioned species. Analysis of joints anatomy. Course provides a basis for studying the pathological anatomy, physiology, clinical diagnostics, animal breeding as well as slaughter animal hygiene.

Assessment methods: Obligatory passing grades of laboratory course after semester, written/ oral exam. Minimum required knowledge for passing - 100%.
