Learning outcomes: Knowledge The student has knowledge of mechanics and solid state physics; knows the types of motion and the laws of motion; understands the issues of work, power and energy; knows the laws of electrostatics and electrodynamics; has a basic knowledge of wave motion; knows the general structure of matter; understands the essence of radiation. Skills The student can calculate the basic data of the mechanics; defines the parameters of different types of moves’ specifies the basic physical parameters of solids and liquids; measures the air humidity; calculates the parameters of work, power and energy; conducts research of spectrum and spectral activity of the radioactive sample.

Competences: Student understands the need for technological progress and its risks.

Prerequisites: -

Course content: Classical mechanics, gravitational field, waves and vibrations, thermodynamics(including heat transport), atomism, nuclear physics,kinetic theory, research methods of physical systems and objects (spectroscopic methods, radiography, NMR, et al.).
