Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student has theoretical and practical knowledge of marketing analysis related to the sphere of food industry companies. He used methods of claffication of food markets and assess their value. Student versed in the principess of marketing research methodology. Skills; Student recognizes companies marketing problems. Student independently plans and performs an a marketing analysis and used the resulting applications in bussines management.

Competences: Social competence: The student understands the need to recognize and meet the needs of the client as an integraf part of quality management in the enteprise.

Prerequisites: Microeconomics, macroeconomics

Course content: Consumer’s needs. Food products. Classifaction and charakterization of markets. Factors influencing consumer demand and food prices levels. Consumer’s behavior theory. Marketing research methodology. Marketing management.

Assessment methods: Knowledge: Written exam. Skills: Evaluation of the project marketing anaysis of company from the sphere of the food economy. Social competence: Validation of the selection of primary and secondary sources of marketing information. Evaluation of marketing analysis and presentation of its findings.

Comment: The food market field research is essential for the project.
