Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student demonstrates basic knowledge of organic chemistry , inorganic , and biochemistry; It has a general knowledge of the raw materials and products of animal and plant origin; Demonstrates knowledge of technology, production and processing of raw materials and products of animal and vegetable; It has a general knowledge of the manufacturing processes of food safety at all stages. Skills: Performs under the direction of supervisor simple task ba ¬ donor or design on the wider agriculture and correctly interpret the results and draw conclusions; It analyzes the processes of physico- chemical and biological occurring during the production of raw materials and food; Demonstrates the ability to assess the state of the agricultural environment and animal health in terms of food safety; Has the ability to develop breeding objectives in terms of quality and safety sourced raw materials of plant and animal.

Competences: Student understands the need for lifelong learning; He is aware of the need to develop vocational skills and supplement professional knowledge of current information in the field of food safety; Able to work in a group , taking on different roles , especially when solving processes; It has a sense of responsibility for the consequences of improperly conducted the technology of food production.

Prerequisites: chemistry, biology

Course content: The course includes discussion of the existing analytical techniques in biological research and take into account the biotic components ( plants and animals) and abiotic components (water, soil ) environment. Within the classes are conducted fieldwork to collect research material originating from the environment, and laboratory classes in order to carry out analyzes of the samples taken.

Assessment methods: Completion of the course: students holding a valid credit Exercise pass a written test of the lectures (20 questions). Assessment takes 45 minutes. If the test is not included in the first term the student has the right again cautioned him orally or in writing within retake. Assessment Exercise: one written test to assess (the last class), giving a report of exercises, the current rating (based on oral statements) progress in learning and activity. Attendance at the exercises is mandatory; student can have only one unexcused absence. In the absence excused student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Assessment exercises based on the average ratings.
